Patients Reviews

My wife was admitted to Fort Sanders bc of anemia and we were told pneumonia along with unexplained bruising. My wife has MCAS and POTS so her autoimmune condition makes things different with her and how her body reacts. Dr Yi was fair at first but when he went off duty and his partners Dr vexlund came on he was an absolute JOKE and has all ego and no concern or care and compassion for the patient. We went 8 days with no kind of explanation to anything before we finally got some results from an upper and lower scope. Then Dr Yi came back on and her levels seemed to balance out a little after the procedure and it was like ok that was the fix it's time to go and there are still concerns to be addressed and fluctuations in her levels. Stat care has some absolute SHIT providers and I would recommend anyone considering them to go as far away as possible. It's pretty sad my wife says that she feels like she needs therapy after the way the Drs have treated her and ignored her concerns in this matter.

I went to see him about getting valves but they kept rescheduling me four times in total and the time I did get back there I sat in the room over an hour before anyone come in I think the man has way too many irons in the fire and way over scheduled but I needed help but I could not get at stat Care I am now moved on to UT pulmonary and seeing the pulmonologist that has 40 years experience not 4 years and the doctor at stat Care just seemed to be worried about my insurance instead of me imagine that

When my husband’s cancer came back , this time in his lung , we were referred to Dr Shah. His expertise and kind bedside manner is outstanding. We were treated with respect and the plan was thoroughly explained in terms we could understand. I highly recommend him for lung related illness.

I gave one star simply to leave a review. The Stat care doctor that saw my mother in the emergency department was very condescending and rude. She stated that my mother "didn't meet criteria for admission ", with a blood pressure of 236/120. We ended up staying in the emergency department over ten hours before she was admitted to the ICU. The care we received from the ER staff was excellent, and the ICU staff are amazing But the stat care doctor Stephanie Harter needs some more education on how to listen to patients, and not treat them like they are stupid. I've worked with many Stat Care doctors in my career, and have never witnessed one with a worse bedside manner. If we had let her bully us into taking my mother home, she would have continued to worsen, and most likely had a stroke. I doubt this review will make a difference. But hopefully it will at least get read.

I am being treated by Dr. Shah for a nodule in my lung. He has been following this for approximately 18 months. He has ordered several ct scans and a couple of pet scans. He also did bloodwork to check for cancer. Through this entire process he has not been in a rush to go to a surgery option. ( greatly appreciated). His care has been centered on, let's make sure if this is something to be concerned about. With staying very much on the side of caution. If I need any further pulmonary treatment in the future my FIRST choice would be Dr. Shah. I highly recommend him for anyone needing his care. He is personable, will answer any questions, explains in terms that are easily understood, takes the amount of time needed to make sure you understand.

Dr Bargoty was knowledgeable and more importantly compassionate. I underwent 5 thoracentes in 6 weeks. Dr Bargoty was the ONLY physician willing to sedate me for the 2 he performed. I have cancer and these procedures became excruciating. Will always seek his care!

Again, I would give 10 stars if I could. Dr. Shah is an amazing surgeon. It is scary to think of a doctor operating inside of your throat to open up a blockage in your trachea. I had surgery yesterday and feel 100% better. I am breathing so much better and walking up and down stairs without a wheeze. Thank you Dr. Shah. I would also like to commend the Stat Care staff, especially Rainey, for coordinating the pre-operation process and keeping me well informed.

I would give 10 stars if I could! I have been misdiagnosed with Asthma for 3 years. After I was referred to Dr. Swank she listened and suspected the real problem and ordered a CT to confirm it. She then referred me to Dr. Shah for surgery. Dr. Swank did every thing she could make comfortable with the process and to make things happed quickly. Today I am breathing so much better! Thank you for listening Dr. Swank.
